Ready to get started good...but not so fast!

So you want to get started on the hobby of Ham Radio?  Well before you get started, we'll have to talk about a few things before you get started.  The easiest and best way is to join up with your local amateur radio club, or through your school.  That is the easier way to have an experienced teacher telling you exactly what to expect.  You cannot operate a ham radio without a license from the FCC...and well, you have to take a test to get that license admistered by the volunteer examiners (VE) who take time from their day to bring in new hams.  So, let's get the adventure started, and you'll be graduating from the CB bands to the ham bands!
